Physical therapy is for children who may benefit from support with strength, balance, coordination, motor skills, or functional movement. Families often reach out because their child

  • Is delayed in sitting, crawling, walking, or jumping

  • Appears clumsy, unsteady, or fatigues easily

  • Walks on toes or has an unusual gait pattern

  • Has difficulty keeping up with peers during active play

  • Shows muscle tightness or postural challenges

  • Needs help recovering from injury or building safe movement patterns

You don’t need a diagnosis to begin.

Because we are private pay, families do not need a referral or formal diagnosis to start physical therapy. Our trained PTs complete a full, individualized evaluation and create a treatment plan based on your child’s developmental needs and daily routines.

A Personalized Treatment Plan

Ongoing Therapy That Builds Confidence

Your child’s evaluation is relaxed, interactive, and based on their age and abilities. Our PT observes movement patterns, strength, coordination, posture, balance, and motor milestones as appropriate. We take time to understand how your child moves in daily life and what supports may help them succeed.

After the evaluation, your PT creates a clear, individualized plan with specific goals related to your child’s motor development and functional needs. You’ll receive guidance on recommended therapy frequency and practical strategies to use at home.

Therapy sessions are active, engaging, and designed to help your child build strength, coordination, and motor skills through play. Your PT adjusts activities as your child grows and progresses. Parents are welcome to observe and participate so you feel confident supporting your child between sessions.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral from my pediatrician?

If you are private pay, you do not need a referral or diagnosis to begin. You can start services as soon as a therapist is available. If you plan to use insurance reimbursement, some plans may require a referral. Families can check with their insurance company for specific requirements.

What happens during an evaluation?

Your PT observes your child’s movement, strength, balance, coordination, posture, and play. The evaluation is interactive and child-led, followed by a clear treatment plan.

How do I know if my child needs physical therapy?

Families often reach out when their child shows delays in movement, difficulty keeping up with peers, poor coordination, or challenges with strength, balance, or posture. An evaluation can give you clarity.

How long are therapy sessions?

Most sessions are 30–60 minutes, depending on your child’s age and goals. Your therapist will recommend the frequency that best supports progress.

Do you work with babies and toddlers?

Yes. We support infants with motor delays, torticollis, low or high tone, and early movement challenges. We also help parents with positioning, play routines, and safe motor development.

Do you offer in-home sessions?

Yes. Many families prefer in-home visits, especially for babies, toddlers, or children who benefit from working in their natural environment. In-home services allow your therapist to support daily routines, play spaces, and real-life movement or sensory needs.

Do you accept insurance?

We are private pay, and families may request a superbill to submit to their insurance for possible reimbursement. Coverage depends on your individual plan.
